After years of experience in private practice and moving to the area, Resonating Rhythm was created from the desire to provide music therapy services in the Forsyth County area. Our passion is to provide music therapy services in YOUR community!
Owner and Music Therapist
Lydia is a licensed and board-certified music therapist, as well as Neurologic Music Therapist. She received her music therapy degree from Converse College in South Carolina and moved to Georgia to complete her internship with Fulton County Schools. During her internship, she worked with all ages and various populations including Autism Spectrum Disorder, Mild/Moderate Intellectual disabilities, Special Needs preschool classes, Orthopedic Impairments, and Fulton County's North Metro program.
Before beginning her professional career in music therapy, Lydia served in Thrive Special Needs Ministry at First Baptist Woodstock, where she coordinated all Sunday morning and Wednesday night respite curriculum and programming. She then worked in private practice where she worked with everyone from early childhood to aging adults, enjoying the variety of private practice. She continued utilizing her experience in the school system by serving Forsyth and Dawson County, as well as a private school in the Roswell area.
Seeing the need for accessibility to music therapy services, Lydia opened Resonating Rhythm located in Cumming, GA in March 2022.
